India reaffirmed its athletic supremacy by topping the medals tally at the 4th South Asian Senior Athletics Championships 2025 in Ranchi, finishing with 20 golds and 58 medals overall. Sri Lanka followed with 16 golds in a total of 40 medals, while Nepal placed third.
The final day featured several meet records — India’s Ruchit Mori set a new mark in the Men’s 400m Hurdles (50.10s) and Sri Lanka’s K.H. Arachchige Dasun in the Women’s 400m Hurdles (58.66s). Other highlights included Reet Rathore’s High Jump gold and Damneet Singh’s Hammer Throw win as India ended the event as overall champions.
