Neeraj Chopra Commonwealth Games 2026 Silver
India’s Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra secured the silver medal in the men’s javelin throw at the Commonwealth Games 2026 with a season-best throw of 85.83m.
However, Sri Lanka’s R.T. Pathirage stole the show by producing a stunning 89.75m effort to win the gold medal. India celebrated a double podium finish as Yashvir Singh claimed bronze with a personal best throw of 85.41m in the final round, earning his maiden Commonwealth Games medal. Former world champion Anderson Peters finished fourth, while Pakistan’s defending champion Arshad Nadeem endured a disappointing outing, ending ninth with 77.41m.
Rohit Yadav finished seventh for India. The two javelin medals helped India raise its overall Commonwealth Games 2026 medal tally to 23.
