India vs New Zealand 3rd T20I: Preview, Team News and Probable XIs
India will look to seal the three-match T20I series against New Zealand when the teams meet in the third match at Hnry Stadium, Wellington, on Tuesday.
India have dominated the rivalry in recent years, winning 18 of their last 21 T20Is against New Zealand, including the World Cup final in March. India have made a strong start to the tour, but bowling consistency and batting against spin remain areas for improvement.
Wellington’s swirling winds and the possibility of rain could influence conditions, while the evening dew may also affect the contest. India are expected to retain their winning combination, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi likely to continue at No. 3 in the absence of Ishan Kishan.
New Zealand, meanwhile, will be without Matt Henry, who has been rested for the remainder of the series, and Lockie Ferguson, who will miss the match. New Zealand’s spinners have taken eight wickets in the series at an economy rate of 8.25, while their pacers have claimed four wickets at 11.78.
India will aim to counter that threat and secure the series with a match to spare.
