Veteran trap shooter Zoravar Singh Sandhu clinched a brilliant bronze medal on the penultimate day of the ISSF World Championship Shotgun 2025 at Malakasa Shooting Range, Athens.
The 48-year-old was the only Indian to qualify for a final, securing the medal with a composed performance under tough weather conditions. Zoravar scored 31 in the final, after qualifying with 122/125, and also earned a spot in the ISSF World Cup Final in Doha.
India’s mixed trap teams and skeet shooters fell short of medal contention, while India finished ninth in the overall medal tally among 15 participating nations.
