The first Test between Pakistan and South Africa is set for a thrilling finish after spinners dominated day three in Lahore on Tuesday.
Pakistan were bowled out for 167 in their second innings, setting South Africa a target of 277 for victory. Senuran Muthusamy starred with figures of 5-57, completing his maiden 10-wicket match haul.
In reply, Pakistan’s Noman Ali struck early, removing captain Aiden Markram for three and Wiaan Mulder for nought to leave the visitors struggling at 51-2 at stumps. South Africa still need 226 runs, while Pakistan require eight wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
