Will Jacks said his maiden T20I half-century was “a long time coming” after guiding England cricket team into the Super Eights with victory over Italy national cricket team at Eden Gardens.
Jacks struck an unbeaten 53 to help England post 202/7 and later dismissed Italy captain Ben Manenti at a crucial stage.
Named Player of the Match, Jacks admitted he is settling into his middle-order role and stressed England must improve further as they head to Sri Lanka for the next phase of the tournament.
