Ranchi Royals booked their place in the Hockey India League 2026 final with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Hyderabad Toofans in Qualifier 2 at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium.
Belgian striker Tom Boon starred with a sensational hat-trick, scoring twice from penalty corners in the first quarter before adding his third in the 34th minute. Hyderabad had struck early through Jacob Anderson and later pulled one back via Amandeep Lakra, but the Royals held firm under pressure.
Disciplined defence in the closing stages ensured Ranchi Royals set up a title clash against Vedanta Kalinga Lancers.
