Tim Seifert and Finn Allen produced a sensational world-record opening partnership of 175 runs as New Zealand thrashed the UAE by 10 wickets in a Group C match of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in Chennai.
After UAE posted their highest-ever T20 World Cup total of 173/6, Seifert and Allen dismantled the bowling attack with relentless aggression. Seifert smashed an unbeaten 89 off 42 balls, while Allen supported him with 84 not out.
New Zealand chased the target in just 15.2 overs, sealing a dominant second straight win.
