Marta Kostyuk continued her sensational run at the Brisbane International, crushing third seed Jessica Pegula 6-0, 6-3 to reach the final.
The 16th-seeded Ukrainian was ruthless from the start, racing to a 6-0, 3-0 lead and never allowing Pegula back into the contest. Kostyuk’s win capped an outstanding week in which she defeated three top-10 players. She finished with four aces and flawless defense on break points.
Standing between Kostyuk and her maiden Brisbane title is world No.1 and defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, setting up a blockbuster final.
