Travis Head has won the Allan Border Medal for the second consecutive year, narrowly beating Alex Carey for Australia’s top men’s cricket honour. Head collected 153 votes, one ahead of Carey and three clear of Mitchell Starc.
He played 30 international matches across all formats during the 2025-26 season, scoring 1,437 runs. His standout performance came in the Perth Ashes Test, where he smashed a brilliant 123 off 83 balls.
Head became only the fifth player to win back-to-back Allan Border Medals, joining Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke, David Warner and Shane Watson.
Starc was named Test Player of the Year, while Mitchell Marsh and Tim David won the ODI and T20 awards respectively.
