Smriti smashed 74 off 47 balls while Shafali blasted 55 from 38 deliveries in a 115-run opening stand, helping India post a record 209/5 – their highest-ever total in Women’s T20 World Cup history. The Netherlands never recovered in the chase and were bowled out for 114 in 17.3 overs.
Charani claimed 4/19, while Shafali impressed with the ball too, taking 3/20 as India climbed to the top of Group A.
