Kane Williamson Retires From International Cricket, Ends Legendary Career

New Zealand cricket legend Kane Williamson has announced his retirement from international cricket bringing the curtain down on a remarkable career spanning nearly 16 years.

The 35-year-old said he is proud of everything he achieved with the Black Caps and remains optimistic about the team’s future.

Williamson retires as New Zealand’s highest run-scorer across formats with 19,346 runs and 48 international centuries. He played 110 Tests, 175 ODIs and 93 T20Is, establishing himself as one of the game’s finest batters.

As captain, he guided New Zealand to the 2021 ICC World Test Championship title and the finals of the 2019 ODI and 2021 T20 World Cups.
