Alick Athanaze and Shai Hope struck brisk fifties before Akeal Hosein and Romario Shepherd shared six wickets to seal a 14-run win for West Indies over Bangladesh in the second T20I at Chattogram on Wednesday.
Hosein’s 3-22 took him past Dwayne Bravo to become West Indies’ second-highest wicket-taker in T20Is with 81 scalps.
Chasing 150, Bangladesh were held to 135/8 despite Tanzid Hasan’s valiant 61 off 48 balls. Shepherd (3-29) and Holder (2-20) triggered a late collapse, earning Shepherd the ‘Player of the Match’ award.
With this win, West Indies clinched the series 2-0 with one game remaining.
