Belgium edged India 1-0 in a captivating final to lift the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2025 in Ipoh, Malaysia, on Sunday.
It marked Belgium’s maiden Azlan Shah title in just their second appearance at the prestigious invitational tournament, having earlier beaten India 3-2 in the league stage—the hosts’ only defeat of the campaign.
India, fresh from a 14-3 win over Canada, earned three penalty corners but failed to convert despite strong PC form from Jugraj Singh, Amit Rohidas and Sanjay throughout the event.
