Sonal Dinusha produced a remarkable unbeaten 133 to help Sri Lanka hold India to a draw in the second Test at the SSC Ground in Colombo on Thursday.
Forced to follow on after conceding a 213-run first-innings deficit, Sri Lanka finished on 429/9 after 154 overs, with Dinusha leading a determined lower-order resistance. The left-hander faced 264 balls and struck only two boundaries, completing his third century of the series. Keshara Nuwantha and Lahiru Kumara also played crucial defensive knocks as India struggled to take the final wickets on a slow pitch.
Dinusha became only the third Sri Lankan after Aravinda de Silva and Kumar Sangakkara to score three centuries in a two-Test series. The result saw India win the series 1-0.
