Shai Hope backed Brandon King despite his poor form after West Indies thrashed Zimbabwe by 107 runs in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Super 8s in Mumbai.
King managed just nine, but Shimron Hetmyer smashed 85 off 34 balls, while Rovman Powell hit 59 in a 122-run stand as West Indies piled up 254/6 at the Wankhede Stadium.
Zimbabwe were bowled out for 147, with Gudakesh Motie claiming 4-28. Hope expressed confidence in King and praised the team’s all-round effort.
