Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points as the defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the San Antonio Spurs 127-114 to take a 3-2 lead in the NBA Western Conference Finals.
Oklahoma City recovered from a slow start before dominating through strong team play, with Alex Caruso adding 22 points off the bench and Jared McCain contributing 20. Spurs star Victor Wembanyama struggled badly, scoring 20 points on just 4-of-15 shooting, while Devin Vassell managed only six points. The Thunder now head to San Antonio needing one more victory to book their place in the NBA Finals.
Coach Mitch Johnson admitted the Spurs “need to be a lot better” in Game 6 to stay alive.
