Elena Rybakina reached the Australian Open 2026 women’s singles final with a composed 6-3, 7-6(7) victory over sixth seed Jessica Pegula at Rod Laver Arena.
The fifth seed saved two set points in a tense second-set tiebreak to seal the win in just over two hours. Rybakina dominated early with her powerful serve before withstanding a late Pegula surge. The victory takes her into her third career Grand Slam final and second in Melbourne.
Rybakina will now face World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka, renewing their rivalry from the 2023 Australian Open final.
