Rohit Sharma marked his return from injury with a scintillating 84 as Mumbai Indians chased down 229 to beat Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets at Wankhede Stadium on Monday.
Rohit and Ryan Rickelton (83) stitched a massive 143-run opening stand to lay the foundation for Mumbai’s highest successful chase at home. Late cameos from Naman Dhir and Will Jacks sealed the win in 18.4 overs.
Earlier, Nicholas Pooran smashed 63 off 21 and Mitchell Marsh made 44 as Lucknow posted 228/5, but Mumbai’s batting firepower proved too strong.
