Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru will return to the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium for IPL 2026 after receiving clearance from the Karnataka government. Five home matches are scheduled in Bengaluru, while the remaining two will be held at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium as per prior commitment.
The move follows last year’s tragic stampede near the venue, which led to suspension of activities and an official inquiry. RCB CEO Rajesh Menon thanked the state authorities, KSCA and police for restoring infrastructure and safety measures, allowing fans to once again witness their team play at home.
