Royal Challengers Bengaluru clinched their second Women’s Premier League title after a commanding six-wicket win over Delhi Capitals at Vadodara.
Chasing a record 204, RCB rode on a magnificent 87 off 41 balls from captain Smriti Mandhana, supported by Georgia Voll’s fluent 79. Their 165-run partnership dismantled DC’s bowling and ensured the highest successful chase in a WPL final.
Earlier, Jemimah Rodrigues’ 57 guided DC to 203/4, the highest final total. RCB became the first team to top the league stage and lift the trophy, also achieving the rare feat of holding both IPL and WPL crowns simultaneously.
