Ranchi Royals secured a solid 2-0 victory over JSW Soorma Hockey Club in the Women’s Hockey India League 2025–26 at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium on Friday.
After a tightly contested first half dominated by disciplined defending, Rutuja Dadaso Pisal broke the deadlock in the 30th minute with a deft deflection. Soorma created several chances, including a penalty stroke and multiple penalty corners, but were denied by an inspired Madhuri Kindo and the Royals’ defence.
Sakshi Rana sealed the win in the 54th minute, while goalkeeper Bichu Devi Kharibam ensured a clean sheet with late saves.
