Rajat Patidar admitted Royal Challengers Bengaluru fell short with the bat after suffering a four-wicket defeat to Gujarat Titans in Match 42 of the Indian Premier League at Narendra Modi Stadium.
Patidar said losing wickets in the middle overs prevented RCB from posting a stronger total after they were bowled out for 155.
Despite the loss, Patidar praised the bowling unit for fighting back and stretching the chase into the 16th over, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar impressing with three wickets. He also credited Shubman Gill for his explosive powerplay knock, which shifted momentum decisively in Gujarat’s favour and put RCB under immediate pressure.
