PV Sindhu will lead India’s challenge at the China Open 2026, a BWF Super 1000 tournament starting Tuesday, after ending her nearly two-year title drought with a dominant Japan Open triumph.
The two-time Olympic medallist enters the event in top form, having won the Japan Open without dropping a game. Lakshya Sen, HS Prannoy and Ayush Shetty will represent India in men’s singles, while MR Arjun and Hariharan Amsakarunan compete in men’s doubles following Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty’s withdrawal.
India will also field two mixed doubles pairs but no women’s doubles team.
