Lhuan-dre Pretorius Hits T20I Century as South Africa Beat Namibia

Lhuan-dre Pretorius fell six runs short of a maiden T20I century as South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by 43 runs in Windhoek on Tuesday to book their place in the final of the tri-series also featuring Namibia.

After winning the toss, South Africa posted 185/7 in 20 overs, with the 20-year-old Pretorius smashing 94 off 51 balls, including 12 fours and three sixes. Dewald Brevis added a valuable 41. Zimbabwe’s chase suffered a dramatic collapse as they slipped to 66/8 before captain Sikandar Raza’s 45 helped them recover to 142 all out. Spinner Bjorn Fortuin was the pick of South Africa’s bowlers with 4-24, while Duan Jansen claimed 3-21.

Namibia and Zimbabwe will meet Thursday to decide the second finalist.
