Ferguson said Iyer’s ability to handle pressure and trust his players has created a positive impact across the squad. He also acknowledged head coach Ricky Ponting for building confidence and maintaining a strong team environment. Punjab Kings currently top the points table with six wins in eight matches. However, their bowling remains a concern, having conceded five 200-plus totals and managing the fewest wickets this season.
Ferguson remains confident the team will improve execution and bounce back strongly against Gujarat Titans.
