Indian badminton star Lakshya Sen finished runner-up at the All England Open 2026 after losing to Lin Chun-Yi of Chinese Taipei in the men’s singles final in Birmingham.
Playing despite blisters on his right toes, Sen fought hard but went down 15-21, 20-22 in a closely contested 57-minute match. Lin started strongly to take the opening game, while Sen responded with an aggressive display in the second and even held the lead before the Taiwanese shuttler staged a late comeback.
Lin eventually sealed the title with a composed finish, becoming the first men’s singles player from Chinese Taipei to win the prestigious tournament. Despite the defeat, Sen impressed with his resilience and secured his second All England silver medal.
