The Indian junior men’s hockey team began their FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2025 Pool B campaign emphatically with a 7-0 victory over Chile on Friday at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Egmore, Chennai.
Rosan Kujur starred early with two goals (16’, 21’), breaking Chile’s first-quarter resistance. Dilraj Singh added a brace (25’, 34’), followed by strikes from Ajeet Yadav (35’), Anmol Ekka (48’, PC flick), and Rohit (59’, penalty stroke). India’s goalkeepers Bikramjeet Singh and Prince Deep Singh delivered a disciplined, standout performance to maintain a clean sheet.
The win marked a dominant start after a composed opening, thrilling the home crowd and underlining India’s title intent.
