The left-arm all-rounder claimed 4/62 to help dismiss England for 258 before scoring an unbeaten 57 in a match-winning 102-run partnership with Washington Sundar, who remained unbeaten on 52 and completed his maiden ODI fifty. Shubman Gill also impressed with a fluent 80 before retiring hurt due to cramps, while Shreyas Iyer contributed 35. Earlier, Joe Root’s unbeaten 76 and Liam Dawson’s 68 rescued England after a dramatic collapse.
India comfortably chased down the target with 28 balls to spare.
