Hyderabad Toofans kept their Men’s Hockey India League campaign alive with a tense 3-2 victory over HIL GC at the Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
Zachary Wallace, Amandeep Lakra and Shilanand Lakra found the net for the Toofans, while Kane Russell struck twice for HIL GC. Hyderabad capitalised on penalty corners and built a two-goal cushion before Russell’s brace brought HIL GC back into the contest.
Despite sustained pressure from their opponents, the Toofans held firm to secure the crucial win, moving up to third in the points table.
