Heather Knight Retires From International Cricket After 16-Year England Career

England’s World Cup-winning captain Heather Knight has announced her retirement from international cricket after the ongoing one-off Test against India at Lord’s, ending a remarkable 16-year career.

Knight finishes as England women’s most-capped player with 320 international appearances, scoring 7,988 runs and six centuries across all formats. She captained England in 199 matches, leading the team to 134 victories, including the 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup triumph.

Knight also became the first English cricketer to score international centuries in all three formats. She said retiring at Lord’s feels like the perfect way to end her career.
