England delivered a dominant all-round display to hammer India by 125 runs in the third T20I at Trent Bridge, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match series after the opening match was washed out.
Phil Salt starred with a blistering 70 off 44 balls, while Sam Curran’s unbeaten 41 powered England to 201/7. Debutant Prince Yadav impressed for India with figures of 2/30. In reply, India’s batting collapsed spectacularly as they were bowled out for just 76 in 11.4 overs. Josh Tongue claimed 4/28, Jofra Archer picked up 3/29 and Adil Rashid took 2/14 to complete England’s emphatic victory.
With two matches remaining, England have already secured the series against the reigning T20 World Cup champions.
