England produced a dominant all-round display to beat New Zealand by 65 runs in the second T20I at Hagley Oval and take a 1–0 lead in the three-match series.

After rain washed out the first game, England’s batters fired on all cylinders, with Phil Salt (85) and Harry Brook (78) powering the visitors to 236/4.

In reply, New Zealand faltered early as Brydon Carse and Adil Rashid (4/32) dismantled their lineup. Despite brief resistance from Tim Seifert (39) and Mitchell Santner (36), the hosts were bowled out for 171 in 18 overs.
