The Desert Vipers stormed into the final of the DP World ILT20 Season 4 with a commanding 45-run victory over MI Emirates in Qualifier 1 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.
Andries Gous starred with a sensational unbeaten 120 off 58 balls, the highest individual score in league history, while Fakhar Zaman and Sam Curran provided strong support as the Vipers posted a season-high 233/1. In reply, MI Emirates fought through Tom Banton’s brisk 63, but debutant Usman Tariq’s impressive three-wicket haul derailed the chase.
Despite a late flourish from Romario Shepherd, MI Emirates were restricted to 188/7, as the Vipers sealed their third final appearance in four seasons.
