Delhi Capitals secured a place in the 2026 Women’s Premier League playoffs with a tense five-wicket win over UP Warriorz at the BCA Stadium on Sunday.
Chasing 123, DC were steadied by Laura Wolvaardt’s fluent 47 before Jemimah Rodrigues held her nerve with an unbeaten 34 off 18 balls to finish the job. UP Warriorz, restricted to 122/8, were hurt by dropped catches and lack of runs despite disciplined bowling spells.
The victory sent DC into the Eliminator against Gujarat Giants, while UP Warriorz and defending champions Mumbai Indians bowed out of the tournament.
