McCullum Admits England Got Ashes Preparation Wrong, Targets Pride in Final Two Tests

Brendon McCullum England Test coach exit

England head coach Brendon McCullum admitted the team got their preparation wrong ahead of the Ashes after going 3-0 down within just 11 days, one of the fastest series defeats in over a century.

England arrived confident but suffered heavy defeats in Perth and Brisbane before a closer loss in Adelaide. McCullum acknowledged limited warm-up fixtures and misjudged training intensity hurt them, saying he must “put his hand up”.

Despite criticism and selection concerns, McCullum believes England can still salvage pride in the final two Tests in Melbourne and Sydney, urging the team to fight and reward their supporters.
