Shrachi Bengal Tigers staged a dramatic comeback to defeat SG Pipers 3-2 in their final pool-stage match of the Men’s Hockey India League at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.
After conceding early goals to Dilraj Singh and Tomas Domene, the Tigers fought back with immense character. Jugraj Singh pulled one back from a penalty corner before Abhishek levelled the scores. Affan Yousuf then sealed the turnaround with a decisive strike in the 48th minute.
The hard-fought victory keeps Bengal Tigers’ slim hopes of a top-four finish and title contention alive.
