Nahid Rana produced a sensational spell of 5-24 to help the Bangladesh defeat the Pakistan by eight wickets in the first ODI in Mirpur on Wednesday.
Pakistan were bowled out for just 114, their lowest ODI total against Bangladesh, with Rana dismissing five of the top batters. Captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz supported him with figures of 3-29.
Bangladesh chased the target comfortably in 15.1 overs, thanks to an unbeaten 67 from opener Tanzid Hasan, who shared a key partnership with Najmul Hossain Shanto.
The emphatic victory gave Bangladesh a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.
