Pakistan sealed a dominant eight-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the second ODI as Babar Azam struck his first international century since August 2023.
Azam’s unbeaten 102, his 20th ODI hundred, anchored the chase of 289 at Rawalpindi, giving Pakistan an unassailable 2-0 series lead. He shared key stands with Fakhar Zaman, who hit 78, and Mohammad Rizwan, who remained unbeaten on 51.
Earlier, Sri Lanka posted 288-8, guided by Janith Liyanage’s 54, as Abrar Ahmed and Haris Rauf took three wickets each. Sri Lanka’s fielding lapses hurt their defence in a match delayed amid heightened security concerns.
