The Australian Open 2026 will feature a record AUD 111.5 million prize money pool, a 16% increase over last year.
Men’s and women’s singles champions will each earn AUD 2.79 million, up 19% from 2025, while runners-up take home AUD 2.15 million and semi-finalists AUD 1.25 million. Qualifying rounds and early-round payouts have also risen, with first-round main-draw players guaranteed AUD 150,000.
Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley highlighted the increase as part of a broader AUD 135 million investment across the Summer of Tennis, aimed at supporting players at all levels and strengthening the sport’s long-term growth.
