Leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed starred with a brilliant 4-27 as Pakistan crushed South Africa by seven wickets to seal a 2-1 ODI series win at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad.
South Africa were bowled out for just 143, with Abrar, Mohammad Nawaz, Salman Ali Agha, and Shaheen Afridi sharing all 10 wickets.
Chasing the modest target, Saim Ayub anchored Pakistan’s reply with a fluent 77, guiding them to 144/3 in only 25.1 overs. The victory marked Pakistan’s first series win under new ODI captain Shaheen Shah Afridi. Earlier, Quinton de Kock top-scored for South Africa with a fighting 53.
