Sonal Dinusha narrowly missed his maiden Test century, scoring 92, as Sri Lanka declared at a commanding 549/9 on the second day of the second Test against the West Indies in Antigua.
Kusal Mendis added a valuable 69, sharing a 143-run sixth-wicket partnership with Dinusha to put the visitors firmly in control. Late contributions from Milan Rathnayaka and debutant Isitha Wijesundara helped Sri Lanka post a massive total before declaration.
In reply, the West Indies reached 58/1 at stumps despite surviving several close chances against Sri Lanka’s disciplined pace attack.
