Ireland created history by defeating India by one run in the second T20I at the Civil Service Cricket Club in Belfast, sealing a 2-0 series sweep and their first-ever bilateral series win over India. Chasing 155, India were restricted to 153/9 despite vice-captain Tilak Varma’s fighting 55.
Debutant Jai Moondra starred with three early wickets, while Matthew Hollard also claimed three as Ireland defended the target brilliantly.
Earlier, Harry Tector scored 53 in his 100th T20I, supported by Ben Calitz’s 37, helping Ireland post 154/8. The defeat ended India’s remarkable run of 16 consecutive T20I series victories.
