Netherlands delivered a stunning performance to crush Sweden 5-1 and move to the top of Group F at the FIFA World Cup 2026. Brian Brobbey and Cody Gakpo both scored braces as the Dutch dominated from start to finish.
Brobbey struck in the 5th and 17th minutes, while Gakpo added goals in the 47th and 54th minutes to put the result beyond doubt. Anthony Elanga pulled one back for Sweden in the 59th minute, but Crysencio Summerville completed the rout with a late goal.
The emphatic victory strengthens the Netherlands’ hopes of progressing deep into the tournament.
