India A have made a change to their squad for the ongoing tri-series in Sri Lanka, with fast bowler Ashok Sharma replacing Yudhvir Singh. The change was confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Tuesday after Yudhvir reported discomfort in his right shoulder.
Medical assessments revealed a right rotator cuff injury, and he has been advised to undergo rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.
Ashok earned his call-up after an impressive domestic season and a breakthrough IPL campaign with Gujarat Titans. India A, captained by Tilak Varma, have registered one win and two losses in the tournament so far.
