Australia Beat India 4-2 in Sultan of Johor Cup
The Indian junior men’s hockey team went down 2-4 against Australia in its fourth pool-stage match of the Sultan of Johor Cup 2025 in Johor, Malaysia.
India dominated the first half and led 1-0 at the break, but Australia staged a strong comeback with three goals in quick succession during the third quarter. Despite a late fightback, India fell short.
Captain Rohit (22’) and Arshdeep Singh (60’) scored for India, while Oscar Sproule (39’, 42’), Andrew Patrick (40’), and captain Dylan Downey (51’) struck for Australia.
India will face Malaysia next on Friday.
