India’s Murali Sreeshankar clinched the silver medal in the men’s long jump at the Commonwealth Games with a best effort of 8.09m.
The Kerala athlete produced his top jump in the second round after opening with 8.03m and held on to second place despite two foul attempts. It is Sreeshankar’s second consecutive Commonwealth Games silver after winning the same medal in Birmingham 2022.
