Sophie Devine of New Zealand and Australia’s Beth Mooney emerged as the top signings in the inaugural auction for the women’s The Hundred, each securing deals worth £210,000.
Devine will represent Welsh Fire, while Mooney was picked by Trent Rockets. England all-rounder Dani Gibson became the highest-paid English player after joining Sunrisers Leeds for £190,000. Meanwhile, South Africa’s Nadine de Klerk was signed by London Spirit for £170,000.
The landmark auction, held in London, marked a major shift for women’s cricket with significantly increased salary caps ahead of the 2026 season starting in July.
