Pakistan stormed into the Super 8s of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup with a commanding 102-run win over Namibia at the Sinhalese Sports Club.
Defending a massive 199, Pakistan bowled Namibia out for just 97 in 17.3 overs.Louren Steenkamp top-scored with 23, but Pakistan’s spin trio dominated on a turning pitch. Shadab Khan claimed 3-19, while Usman Tariq starred with 4-16 using clever variations. Mohammad Nawaz also chipped in with a key wicket.
Earlier, Sahibzada Farhan’s brilliant 100 powered Pakistan to 199/3. The comprehensive victory also ended USA’s hopes and confirmed Pakistan’s progression to the Super 8s.
