The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has sought 48 hours from the ICC to consult its government before deciding on participating in the upcoming T20 World Cup in India.
The request came after the ICC rejected Bangladesh’s plea to relocate its matches, citing lack of support from member boards. The ICC has given BCB a final deadline of 24 hours to confirm travel plans, failing which Bangladesh could be replaced by Scotland.
BCB officials said both players and the government are keen to play the World Cup, but concerns over player safety in India remain central to the decision-making process.
